EBSS w/o Calcium, Magnesium, Phenol Red- Cell culture salt solution Earle’s Balanced Salt Solution (EBSS) is the most commonly used salt solution for rinsing of cells and preparation of other reagents in cell culture. EBSS also maintains the cells in a CO2 environment for the short term. The EBSS buffer is ready-to-use and can be directly used for routine washing of cells during cell culture, and can be used for any treatment such as dilution or filtration sterilization before use.
